Will AI Replace Copywriters?
Yes…
But…
Only if you chop off the first 4 letters of the word - “copywriter”.
You see, writers are on the verge of extinction.
They will likely be replaced by AI in the near future.
Specifically:
Blog writers, ghostwriters, technical writers, social media writers and any writer who writes pure content.
But copywriters?
REAL copywriters?
No.
Never.
Why?
Because copywriting is NOT about writing.
Or creativity…
Or even pleasing your clients or boss….
Copywriting has ONE purpose and one purpose only:
To generate more sales.
It’s simply salesmanship in print.
Copywriting will always be in demand because companies are always seeking new ways to boost sales.
They will always hire experts who can help them grow their business.
This was true 1,000 years ago and will remain true 1000+ years in the future (if global warming hasn’t burnt us all to a crisp).
Here’s the thing…
Selling is a human sport.
AI will never sell better than flesh n blood humans.
Selling requires connecting with your readers on an emotional, psychological and human level.
You must dig deep inside your reader’s hearts, uncover their biggest EMOTIONAL problems and desires, and paint an HD clear vision of how your product/service can help them overcome their challenges.
That’s why this skill is so valuable to companies and why they will pay you an arm and a leg to write sales copy for them.

Will AI Replace Copywriting? Is Copywriting Dead?
Copywriting is not dead.
It never will be.
In fact, copywriting is only rising in demand.
Why?
Because there are more ways than ever before for companies to communicate with their customers.
You see, over the last few decades, there has been a baby boom of new social media, ad platforms and marketing channels for companies to reach and sell to their audiences.
Plus, more companies are shifting to an online presence.
This means…
They’ll need more copy & content to share across the dozens of different platforms they use.
How to Make Out Like a Bandit In The Next Decade
So many copywriters are worried about AI and chatGPT taking over their jobs.
This is foolish.
In fact, I believe it’s one of the BEST times to get into copywriting.
Because REAL copywriters, who know how to sell and can get results for their clients, will be a luxury.
They will be EXTREMELY RARE.
I believe that copywriters who do NOT use AI, will have a SERIOUS advantage over their competition (now, and even more so in the near future).
The vast majority of copywriters and companies are absolutely murdering their imagination, creativity and critical thinking.
When you are one of the lone copywriters left who doesn’t mindlessly plug in prompts to a robot, you will stand out from the crowd and attract clients to you like a magnet
If you take the time to learn, practice and write direct response copy (the stuff that sells), and continuously improve your skills & knowledge, you will be so far ahead of everyone else it won’t be funny.
When Should You Use AI?
I think copywriters who rely on AI to write their sales copy are making a GRAVE MISTAKE.
However:
There are several ways I use AI to help me write better content and grow my freelance business.
I use AI (mainly chatGPT) to help me write content like social media posts and blog posts.
AI writes the first draft. Then, I improve upon it by using my copywriting knowledge and unique writing style.

The future is VERY bleak for “copywriters” who don’t understand salesmanship and direct response copywriting.
They will probably go the way of the dinosaurs in the next 5 years.

These elite copywriters will make out like bandits during the “AI takeover”.
To ensure you are prosperous, learn how to write direct response copy.
