While back, I was listening to the late, great Patrice Oneal (comedian) on the O&A podcast (very popular in the 90s & early 2000s) talk about his experiences with an Asian store owner.
He went off on a hilarious tirade about how this guy treated him (a regular customer) like a smelly turd… While treating new shoppers like royalty.
Sad thing is…
I see this ass-backwards phenomenon happen all the time.
Businesses (including freelance copywriters) pedestalizing prospects over loyal customers.
No. No. No.
Listen up:
Your one (and ONLY) asset in your freelance business is your CLIENTS.
And the hardest (and most expensive) part of business is OBTAINING NEW CLIENTS.
Once you do...
You want to abstract the most amount of money from them, as quickly as possible.
And, believe it or not, doing so is MUCH easier the second… third… fourth… fifth time round, than it is the 1st time.
Would you like to ramp up the new clients you get, in less time?
Would you like to learn how to write GOAT level copy that impresses clients and demands high fees?
