To be honest, it’s almost unbelievable watching Victor Wembanyama play ball.
The dude really is a 7”4 point GOD. Something you’d create in NBA 2k.
Do I believe all the ridiculous claims about his greatness?
Don’t know.
However, I do know why he is making headlines every day and why people are so excited to see the young man hoop.
It’s the same reason why the news is the most watched “show” on tv.
The same reason why chatgpt has taken over the world by storm.
The reason?
It all has to do with one word…
NEW.
You see, humans are programmed to be excited for the NEW.
What’s NEW grabs our attention, capture’s our interested and gets us all hot and bothered.
This explains bright shiny object syndrome and why every time a fake guru comes out the wood works with the latest NEW bullshit tactic to make you cash-rich by Tuesday… is listened to and bought from by suckers enticed by this POWERFUL selling concept.
No one likes the tried and true old ways of doing things.
Old is boring.
New is EXCITING.
So, how can you use this NEW phenomenon to boost your copy?
Position your client’s product or service as new.
Dig deep into the research and I’m almost certain you’ll be able to find something new about what you’re writing about.
And make sure you slather the word “NEW” for all eyes to see.
