I tried “breaking” into copywriting twice.

First time:

It took me half a year to learn the plain jane basics. I was very lost & confused.

Second time:

Took me 3 months to learn everything again and gain lion confidence in my copywriting skills.

After that?

I took off like a lightning rod.

Next 3 months, I completed over FIFTY copywriting gigs (never wrote a single word for free).

After that, the kings doors opened to endless copywriting opportunities.

So, to answer the question, I think it takes around 2-3 months to truly learn and get good at this exciting skill.

Then, it’s up to you at how fast you “break” in.

But, first, before you even try to get clients, you MUST learn the fundamentals of direct response copywriting.

The key is to be able to provide REAL RESULTS for your clients.

Once you know you can provide value, you can break into copywriting VERY VERY quickly.
